This is an older pig free to a good home, unable to keep him any longer. Traveling too much and he needs more attention. More space would be good for him as well. He loves his pool, will give you his kiddie pool as well. Not sure of his exact age, was left behind by previous residents of a home when they moved out. Deserves a good home. Unable to transport the pig, must pick up.

We have a pot belly pig. His name is porky, he sits for cookies and loves water and mud. He only gets aggressive when he is hungry or thinks you have food. HE IS A PET, NOT FOOD. Need some kind of assurance that you wont eat him, my mom would have a heart attack. He was attacked by some dogs and lost an ear and his testicles so hes not quite good with other animals. He's just miserable in our little back yard, he loves to run around. We need him gone ASAP. Email me with any questions and I will get back to you within a few hours if not right away. Or if you know somewhere I can take him. Put 'Porky The Pig' as the subject. Thanks! Shana A.

This pig has been with me since he was 5 months old. He is 2-1/2 now and is having more and more issues with our dogs. He runs pastures with alpacas during the day; eats and sleeps inside; uses a doggie door and is housebroken. He is very health and is socialized from frequent farm visitors.

3yrs, unaltered pig Friendly and loving! He loves all people, young and old, dogs, cats and pigs. We got him when he was two weeks old and bottle fed him. We thought we were buying the farm we were living on but it fell through. We now live in a housing development. He is not getting the attention he deserves and technically, I'm not sure if we are allowed to have him here. He's a good boy, who will come when you call him and roll over for a belly rub. He misses his farm and living here just isn't fair to him.

Someone found pig roaming around. I believe it's a wild pig. My husband kept it and raised it with the idea of eating him. Well...it's been a year and he found he cannot do it. Became very friendly but we cannot keep him any longer. He is quite lonely. I would like to see him playing with other animals. It's not fair to him. I definitely do not want to get Fred a friend but that had crossed my mind. He is getting big and it is becoming difficult.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Farm Animal in Florida
Farm Animals can make good pets in Florida if they match your IifestyIe. Farm animals such as sheep, goats, and pigs are useful additions to working farms. For example, sheep can provide people with milk for cheese and other dietary staples, as well as wool for clothing. Dairy goats are so hardy and such valuable sources of food that providing one for a family living in extreme poverty (through an organization such as Heifer International) can completely alter the existence of that family. Farm animals provide manure for fertilizer to grow healthy vegetables. The sale of dairy, wool, and offspring of farm animals can be a major source of income. Many people think farm animals are cute and picturesque and would like to own one or more. However, caring for these animals is very labor intensive, and unless these animals are part of a working farm, they can become the victims of abuse or neglect.

Potbellied pigs are an excellent example. Potbellied pigs became popular as house pets in the nineties. However, pigs can weigh over 130 pounds and are not as easy to care for as other household pets. Pigs need to be outside to satisfy their natural instincts to rut. Sadly, many owners of potbellied pigs are not ready for the commitment and challenges of having a pig for a pet, leaving many animals in need of adoption.

lnteresting Farm Animal Trivia Low-Cost Florida Spay & Neuter Clinics
Farm animals are useful sources of fertilizer, food, and clothing. Pigs are smarter than dogs and are the fourth most intelligent type of animal, behind humans, primates, and dolphins. Goat milk, unlike cow milk, contains all of the essential amino acids, making it the only regular source of complete protein for countless traditionally vegetarian populations all over the world. Goat dairy products are easier to digest than cow milk, and may even help to prevent some types of gastrointestinal problems.
