Is anyone interested in a rooster as a PET? I have too many roosters for how many hens we have. I want to keep one for sure and two is fine too. I just want at least one to have a new family. The one on the top left is Teddy Jr., the one on the top right is Thor and the one on the bottom is Treasure. They are used to being free range, but I'm sure if there is enough girls they would be fine not being free range. Thor is at the bottom of the rooster pecking order and as of right now has no tail feathers and has some hair loss on his back. All of them are good with people. They are standoffish like most roosters, but have never attacked. Treasure is the youngest and doesn't have his spurs in yet. The two others are brothers and do have spurs in. Please share to chicken people you know of that don't eat them. (Less)

Stanley is a loving 3 1/2 yr old male Vietnamese Potbelly. He is full grown and weighs around 30lbs. He is fully housetrained. He currently uses a doggie door to take himself in and out when needed. He does okay around animals of all sizes, but does not do well with young children. He is not aggressive and has a pretty laid back deposition. We are needing to rehome him as soon as possible due to unforeseen circumstances at home. He is current on everything, has had his teeth filed and hooves files as well very recently.

I have a barred rock rooster in need of a home. His name was/is Daisy and he is 3 months old. Daisy is a great guy but he does crow and we live in a suburban neighborhood. He was supposed to be a female but as I'm sure you know that doesn't always work out as intended. I am a huge animal lover and would be so grateful if someone could give him a nice home. The picture is about a month old, so he's much bigger now. Thank you for any assistance you may have in helping me find him a new home.

Very fun happy family raised pet pig. We have so much fun with Louie and he acts just like a dog, but better. He's multi colored with black spots. I live in a subdivision and I keep getting deed restriction letters and find adding up to near $600 dollars. My HOA threatened to call animal control and if no one adopts him he will be put to sleep:( :( He does need vaccinations.

We are still looking for a home for our 16 week old bantam rooster. There's nothing wrong with him, in fact he's a very kind, well behaved rooster and is good at protecting his ladies. We recently acquired 5 chicks, all of which were thought to be hens, and ended up with two roosters! Mr. Daisy (formerly Miss Daisy) is a sweetheart. He is friendly to humans and dogs, and tolerant of our cat. His crow is very quiet in comparison to our other rooster, and although he is still growing he will remain relatively small as he is a bantam. He is a perfect backyard rooster and is in need of a loving home and a flock of his own. I'm willing to deliver him to a suitable home outside of the city (Austin, TX) if need be. There is a $10 rehoming fee. If you are interested in adopting Mr. Daisy, please send me a message or email me at email@example.com. Thank you for your help! smile emoticon (Less)

Piper is a 1 year old pig. She is potty trained and lives indoors, but loves to go outside and play. She has been raised with dogs and children. Lately Piper seems unhappy and will charge sometimes. With small children around, I am worried about their safety. If you are interested please reach out to me.

|PIease Read Before Adopting a Farm Animal in Texas|
Farm Animals can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Farm animals such as sheep, goats, and pigs are useful additions to working farms. For example, sheep can provide people with milk for cheese and other dietary staples, as well as wool for clothing. Dairy goats are so hardy and such valuable sources of food that providing one for a family living in extreme poverty (through an organization such as Heifer International) can completely alter the existence of that family. Farm animals provide manure for fertilizer to grow healthy vegetables. The sale of dairy, wool, and offspring of farm animals can be a major source of income. Many people think farm animals are cute and picturesque and would like to own one or more. However, caring for these animals is very labor intensive, and unless these animals are part of a working farm, they can become the victims of abuse or neglect.
Potbellied pigs are an excellent example. Potbellied pigs became popular as house pets in the nineties. However, pigs can weigh over 130 pounds and are not as easy to care for as other household pets. Pigs need to be outside to satisfy their natural instincts to rut. Sadly, many owners of potbellied pigs are not ready for the commitment and challenges of having a pig for a pet, leaving many animals in need of adoption.
